Brunswick Heads Hidden Treasures: Unique Experiences in This Coastal Village
Welcome to Brunswick Heads, NSW, a tranquil coastal haven nestled in the heart of the vibrant Byron Shire. Affectionately known as "Bruns," this charming seaside village is a hidden gem of the North Coast, drawing visitors with its pristine beaches, sparkling river, and an enticing array of Brunswick Heads restaurants.
Brunswick Heads is a small holiday and fishing town located at the mouth of the Brunswick River on the northern New South Wales coast, between Byron Bay and Murwillumbah.
The town's commercial centre fronts Simpsons Creek and overlooks the Tyagarah Nature reserve which runs along the coast and features a direct footbridge link across the creek between the shops and reserve. To the north, the Brunswick River is a popular spot for fishing and boating activities and features a couple of sandy beaches. Access to the town's ocean beach, which is popular with swimmers and surfers, is via South Beach Road across Simpsons Creek. Beautiful stretches of sandy beaches can also be found across the Brunswick River, to the north, at Ocean Shores.
