Welcome to Tumut
Tumut is situated at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains, surrounded by valleys, forests and rich agricultural land.
The town is located on the Tumut River and is particular attractive during the autumn when the thousands of poplars and deciduous trees originally planted by early settlers erupt into rich colours.
Tumut is an ideal base for exploring the attractions of the Snowy Mountains, the Kosciuszko National Park and its lakes, rivers and snow fields.
